You'r ATC and quick out instructions are very informative, thanks for taking the time to help. I'm always interested in learning different techniques and this should make life a little easier.

during the upcoming holiday to try new techniques at some new sites, and find some old coins ... as well as 'neat stuff.'

Likewise.... Thanks for the ATC info, Monte. I have been do some testing (as listed in your document) this evening and I'm ready to give it a real world try it out tomorrow.
Much appreciated.

I also want to say thanks for the info. Monte. Here's a pic. of an interesting spot I'm going down to on the 26th. of this mo. (As long as the weather holds out). It's an old homestead & stage stop site in Elko area, Nv. A friend of mine has owned the ranch since early 70's. It's "way" off any main road so could be a good spot to hunt. I'm going down to help him out w/a project so may not have enough time to hunt very much but hope to quickly hunt around the old house shown, a partially standing blacksmith shop and a swing. Many other delapidated bldgs. as well but won't have time this trip. I took these two summers ago, long before I was into detecting... There will be "LOTS" of trash to contend with however.
