...to see how we were faring with all the storms headed our way!! I enjoyed talking with you and will do my best to make it to the hunt this year.

The worst of the storms were just north and northwest of us all night. Just a few miles north a bad storm went through (tornado warning) downing some trees and powerlines. West and middle Tennessee took the brunt of the storms and I think the death toll has risen to 34 according to Sarah. 7 tornados were sited in East Tennessee.

I sat outside on the driveway and after many attempts was able to capture a lightning bolt. Most of the lightning was behind a ridge and just lit up the sky with a brilliant flash but you couldn't see the actual bolt. So, I prayed and ask God to send a bolt within camera range but at a safe distance. He answered my prayer immediately.:yikes:

The picture can be seen here: http://www.pbase.com/photodug/image/58328028

I did not pray that prayer again!!!!!! It was a obviously a safe distance away as I am sitting here typing this but it was still too close for comfort. It was very bright and sounded like a cannon had gone off in my ears.

Mike, thanks again for your concern, your prayers for our safety and the phone call. I'm praying that God will provide the means for me to be able to make the hunt this year.

God bless and thanks for your prayers,

That looks too close for comfort! be careful what you pray for! :) I love the pic though! As for calling! That is what family does! :)
