Thanks to you, I have oredered and installed the QXT chip in my mint Quantum II
Thanks for the pictures and pm's that gave me the idea to do this.
I think I just made a good machine alot better, I hope anyway..

Now just have to wait until this horrid Texas heat subsides , so I can get out and use it.

I have read the Quantum tips page, any other tips you would like to share, since you have been using yours awhile.

Deep nickels ring in as High Iron...Small jewelry can ring in here also...Set up the coins program like in the tips, and use that to get used to the machine...If you get falsing a lot, turn the SENS down to 16 or even 15. IH pennies ring in as zinc sometimes...dig ALL repeatable signals that give only 1 or 2 bars...learn your sweep speed to make the signagraph display correctly. Only use the noise reduction in high trash areas, or mineralized ground where you get a lot of sputter. Be prepared to "go deep, or go home".
