Thank you very much for your prayers. Brian came through surgery just fine and they were able to get 2 rods in the left femur so a cast wasn't required. They even removed the cast from his lower leg since he won't be able to walk for a few weeks and that is a real blessing because we were afraid they would put him in a spica cast from the hips down to his toes. He would have been miserable. Instead he has a splint wrapped with an ace bandage from his upper thigh to his ankle.

He will be in the hospital overnight and should come home tomorrow afternoon. He was back in his room at 2:00 and woke up around 3:00. The first thing he did was sit up to see what they did to his leg, said hello to his foot and laid back down! What a kid!!
