Thanks for the help!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this board for all the helpfull info on Sovereign machines.
I tried out the tips that Plugger, Art, Gord, Rick, Stan, and others have given me last night for 2 hours and this morning for an hour and it worked great!
In that time I managed to find:
2- clad quarters
12 -modern pennies
1967 Can. Seagull penny
2 - wheaties 1944, 1942
2 - Can. silver dimes (1940, 1951)
1880 Indian Head!!!!
This is incredible since the most I was able to find prior to this in any one outing with this machine was 2 modern pennies!
Granted I did find a great place to hunt - an older school yard that was torn down and they scraped alot of the sod away. But it was being able to pinpoint the location of the item to within a small diameter area (2") that I was able to find the item and then move on and keep looking.
I just want to thanks again to all of you on this board that keep posting so many great tips and ideas.

I am glad you could see why many of us like the Sovereigns and the power this detector has. Keep with it and you will learn something new about the Sovereign every day and you will find more that is deeper others have missed.

Good luck and I hope to see some more great finds in the next few days you have found.

Rick

Good work.

As you use the Sov, it just gets easier.

As you learn the sound patterns you will dig less junk ang get more goodiies.

It becomes very much instinctive after a while.
