Welcome back all Vet,s , my welcome back was not a WW2 welcome for sure lol , back then a changing World 1968 , here,s a photo of me middle with 2 buddys at LZ Tomestone I Corp 5th Mech Inf. Div. on the DMZ, WOW i was less then 155 lb,s then now 255 lb,s lol . PEACE Jim

I was in the Coast Guard 74-79. went in with several buddies, one made a full go of it and retired from there but most of us did one or two tours.

The world is changing Jim, anyone coming back from the middle east now is getting the WWII treatment. Folks who served in Vietnam and Korea kinda got snubbed for whatever reason but surely not from my family. Dad was in the Navy, got a nephew who was in the Air Force, still have the papers from two uncles who were shot down over Germany in WWII and spent time in their prison camps.

Ron the Air Force did a helluva job over in the middle east, can still remember the early 90s bombing of bagdad. The forces all work together whether its flyboys/coasties/grunts/squids or jarheads.........there should be a veterans day every month for what they all do.

Thanks Ron & thanks to all the Vets out there....I was any army draftee in 1966....& missed being a marine by one count.....I was guy #4 & they were pulling out every 5th guy & making him a drafted marine....this happened at our induction center 47 years ago & it still seems like yesterday & I wouldn't take anything for the experience...also thanks to my son who has been serving in the Army for the last 23 yrs & will retire in 3 more as a Master Sergeant....
