.....but just saying "thanks" doesn't seem to be enough tonight.
Dalton went into surgery yesterday just after noon central time, and the surgeon came out within the hour to give us the news....
Dalton is cancer and tumor free !! The mass on his neck ended up being an abscess in the muscle tissue on the right side of his neck, causing all of the swelling and inflamation that gave the doctors (and us) so much worry. Apparently such an abscess is very difficult to treat with antibiotics alone without surgical draining, so that is the route things are going from this point.
All of your thoughts, prayers, and eMails are more appreciated than you will ever know. But going through this experience, especially so at Children's Hospital, has reminded Tisha and myself that there are so many who are not as fortunate as we have been, and we saw first hand so much pain and suffering in other children while at ACH that still need the thoughts and prayers of us all. Please continue to keep them in mind as a special favor to those of us who are spared the agony of going through the worst case scenario that so many of them continue to suffer.
God bless each of you, and just know that PRAYER is a miraculous and powerful thing.
Ralph, Tisha and family.......(especially Dalton)

Ralph:
That's the best news I've heard in a long time ! He is sooooo cute!
I'm glad he's going to be OK.
I will continue with my prayers...

I too have spent considerable time at the childrens hospital, and you're right, you dont have to look very far to find someone else worse off.
Some of those 'little people' are the bravest people I have ever met.
