Thanks Andy and Jeff

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Book by Andy Sabisch "The Minelab Explorer and E-Trac Handbook" was a big help in me understanding the E-Trac.

Getting out in the field is the most important way to learn, but having a correct set up before going out in the field and understanding why and how is just as important.

The tips on certain set ups really made understanding the E-trac so much faster easier. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to get the most from their machines. The one tip that I will not mention here (you will have to get the book) was worth its weight in gold. Once you learn this, the rest is easy!

I got my arm rest from Jeff Herke yesterday and spent a few hours out in the field with it. This is a very high quality product and looks like it came from the factory. My forearm is fairly large and the factory arm rest was not very comfortable.

When I was out the other day, it was short sleeve weather and the factory arm rest rubbed against my arm in certain points and caused an uncomfortable session with my E-Trac. I got the one from Jeff and it made a WORLD of difference. The E-trac felt more like part of my arm than ever. I would also highly recommend Jeff Herke's arm rest.
Well worth the money and very high quality.

Hi Steve,

what page is the tip on, I have the book and am waiting for my Etrac...

I currently have been using a Quattro, this will be a big change.

I would appreciate any tips, it feels like 5 years old and waiting for Santa LOL

Page 75.

Do this and you will be able to learn the E-Trac as if you were speaking its language all your life. It will make learning the E-trac in the field that much easier to learn if you make a standard and stick to it.

Sometimes the factory settings are not the best for each individual.

Thanks for the reply Steve,

It is funny I had just read that and my bookmark was on page 76. I was hit by a rocket which effected my hearing and thought that would be the ticket for me also. I won't elaborate, I do not want to spill the beans.

Thanks again,

Harry
