I start MD last April (just for fun) with a MXT, after couples small find, i began to read you guys in the forum. Bought Excal in Jun fallowing your advices.
What a good one i took from you. 3 1/2 months later look at some of the treasure i found by hunting 5 to 8 hrs a week.


This morning, low tide, calm sea, deep water for 2hrs 14k snake with Rubi and a titanium
( the snake tail is broken but decided to keep it anyway

Wow, i am impressed way, to go. It sounds like we have both started about the same tin and both with MXT's. I really like the MXT but wanted to try water so bought a Excal, I am hoping my two month stay in Mexico will garner finds similar to yours.

About half of it is with the MXT It is a great fast machine. And i even use the MXT in the salt water in 2' deep.( with proper seeting and slower)

You will push your luck with: LOCATION, TIMING

After party on the beach, MXT for speed
In betwen , Excal. in the water

Where in Mexico? I'm in Puerto Vallarta..Hunting has not been that good due to lack of tourists, but small things still show up now and then/.

Great finds !! My next machine will be the Excal. I can't really :detecting:(swing it) :rofl::cry: this year. Next Feb. is when I plan to get one. You guys have really motivated me to do some water detecting. Not to mention the guys I talked to on the beach who were coming out of the water. I usually post on the safari forum but I decided to browse onto this forum. Ron :detecting: :minelab::whites::bounty:
