Hi all, a big thank you to those who gave advice and/or assisted with my questions regarding my decision on an E-Trac, Excalibur II or X-Terra... I ended up picking up an E-Trac today from Pete (I think his name was) at Gemini Jeep Sales in Burnaby, BC today. I got a great price and he was very helpful as were you all..... this will be a long 18 hours (waiting for the first charge).)

Thanks again... see you in the sand/grass.

can"t you just throw in some aa in the other pack?....so you don't have to wait....should have come with a 8 aa pack?

Yes I could.. as I wrote that I wondered if someone would fix my craving with a response such as yours.

I was kinda kidding anyways... but by the time I got home it was too dark and I have to browse the web for night vision.. woooooo hoooo

I'll go out tomorrow and play... need to read lots and watch E-Trac videos online.. baby steps.

Jen....get the Andy Sabisch book "The Minelab Explorer & E-Trac Handbook"

It will give you a lot more information on your new E-Trac than you could get just about anywhere else. It is well worth the money and it has lots of tips on how to get more depth and how to program it for the best performance possible.

Congratulations on your new E-Trac. Have fun!
