I was having problems with my excal 1000.
After reading and searching years of posts, the solution came to light.
Battery charging problems nicad pod, and don't use non-alkaline batteries (I was using nickel metal hydride rechargeable batteries) in the alkaline pod. They work great in the sov gt ,but not in the excal.
