Hey Tabdog
That place with the chimney looks like a good spot for sure. I've been on some wild goose chases before but that old house spot looks like the goose that laid the golden egg! I'd go back there when ya get more time, that place might have some keepers hiding in the soil. Have fun................Hombre

I really like those treasure pursuits that end up in remote, overgrown areas. Seems like (in my mind anyway) that some good finds are gonna happen. You never find a whole lot, but occasionally your rewarded, your spot deserves another trip.

Hey Tabdog,
Don't be too disappionted about not finding much.... I have been on some wild goose chases myself dragging my buddy along and didn't even find what I was looking for after being told about old home sites back in the woods.
I would definately go back and try that spot again if I were you.
If it is that hard to get to, chances are no one else has hunted it much if at all.

Keep us posted,
Felix

You being a surveyor and using a GPS is a good combination for research. That old house looks good from here. Jim

What a great hunting spot! I hope you have the chance to work it hard. Looking forward to more pics from that site.

You couldn't find someone to give you a piggyback ride in and out?
Looks like an early start to make a spot like that would be worthwhile. Just keep in mind that there could be another shot shell in there somewhere - yer not willing to leave another behind are you?:poke:
Thanks for posting:detecting:

Hey, we all know you'll do great...

Listen for any loud horriable "can" sounding signals - dig= Eagle Breastplates. Hope ya go back, I would fer sure!!!!!!!

Glad you didn't need to carry back a 1/2 ton of gold bars, TD?
