Testing Coil Change endcaps this Summer for the Excalibur

I closed shop this weekend on all repairs and mods till next Dec..and will be working on special projects that I will testing this summer, Hopefully this one will pass. I'm Making two different endcaps, both using underwater fittings (ip68/69 and ip6:geek: and incorporated into the endcap, the first will be the one pictured, the next will be using the same connectors as the CTX uses for changing coils. If all works it should be a great advancement for the Excalibur and it's hunters.

Joe thanks for all you do to move Excalibur technology forward. May the coming season be a great one for you. I pray your joy never diminishes in what you do.
Bless you! :detecting:

Great! Glad to see you are not letting a good mind go to waste! I also wish you some monstrous finds this year!:please:

Joe let us know when you are back into solving some of our Excalibur headphone problems as I also will be wanting to put a good pair on my Excal. Your suggestion on changing the pads on the excal headphones helped somewhat in the amount of outside noise. Thanks for that Suggestion.

Now when the weather improves up your way go find some lost treasures.

WW, the one's pictured are good for

33 feet, 1 bar....these are Designed based on MIL-DTL-26482, military specs, Dynamic IP68/69K water protection
(during vibration and cable movements) I really like these.

Now I have a second setup using the Minelabs M12 connector, I am less enthused about these but looking for the best solution. These are the same brand and design as the Minelab CTX coil connectors except 4 pin, there rated at IP68 ...and guess what...(1) inch...water depth rating...:rage: so I will be using these, the other setup is going to a hunter who hunts deep.

This one I am not sure, built well but seems to be the weaker design of the two connectors. Time in the Saltwater will tell..........

I had a feeling this was in the works!

Very cool!

that looks great !! cant wait for the final say.. if they work i'm the first in line to order them :crylol:

Quick video of the connectors on the bench in action...

Willmn83, the Souriau connectors are made in France...They are quick connect and I love them already....

that sure looks goodi hope they will work out so i can get this done to my excal

Nice video Joe. I might have to make my "dream machine"into dream machine second addition from the looks of that mod. .
