went out for an hour or so to test my new whites mx5 and did pretty good, a 1944 silver war nickle,a 1947 nickel,military button,a cufflink,and heart pendant..i think i like the new machine already lol.
 
I'd like to find a war nickel . . . I gotta bench test my MXT and see how they ring up.

You'll love the MX5. If you are using the head phones that come with it, get an L jack adapter. Keeps the head phones from shorting out after being pulled on from setting it down. The MX5 is my main machine, especially when hitting a new site. I like to run it with very little if any notched out on the discriminate . The stock coil will tell you how much and how deep the targets are at a site. If I hit a lot of trash then I switch off the 4x6 Shooter DD coil or my 5x10 WES SEF coil. A lot of guys rave about the 5.3 coil also in high trash areas. You can even try running it in pin point mode, basically all metal mode. For the money, it's the best kept secrete out there right now.
