I may still get the unit as an additional tool. I have an unused toolbox as a trade so its not a bigee.
But when I had the guy test his unit on my coin garden-well he barely got any signal from my 6" quarter. He was using his 9" coil & I was using my 10x12 so that gives me a edge. But he claimed 8" no problem so I had him do a demonstration. The silver smoked him bad.

I have 5 coins, including a nickle on edge @ 6"...Thats the hardest with the quarter being easiest. I could get the quarter with the 5.75 coil that was stolen.
He barely hit the quarter. When I tried it I could see that it was gonna be a pain in tough conditions. My soil is rocky & hot with EMI ta boot.

Might be good unit for cherrie picking in a park-but for depth in hot soil-fergedaboutit..The Tesoro's are sooo much simpler & hit GOOD targets hard.

If you think that your Silver can whoop up on a 6000 Di Pro SL as far as depth, maybe you are right, that is a dated White's detector. Let me state that I have 9 Tesoros (Bandidos, Toltecs, Pantera & etc.) detectors, all manually ground balanced and will handle all ground conditions. They are very good at rejecting small ferrous junk ie. small rusty square nails. But if you are looking for deep silver in a old use sight with todays modern activities; those junk targets also include aluminum trash, a metered detecor is prefered. My choice for metered detectors include a Tesoro Toltec ll or Toltec 100 or the last 6000 model that White's made...the 6000 Pro XL. The 6000 Pro XL ain't no slouch in the depth department.

Well, I try to be very diplomatic when it comes to down playing another brand or someone else's detector, but I do find this post interesting. I have 5 different Tesoros and a Whites Classic III Coinmaster and an MXT. The Coinmaster performs very equally against the Silver Sabre

That doesn't surprise me. I had a MXT, but sold it. Got tired of trying to figure out what the heck the thing was saying with all the noise it made. It was great at finding a lot of junk iron, but from my experience, I found a heck of a lot better finds with the Tesoros than I ever did with the MXT. Just my personal experience. My personal preference is the Tesoros over White's anyday. And that's my preference, if others don't like me saying that, oh well. Hey, if people can't take hearing others opinions, too bad for them. We have to listen to them bash the Tesoros in those other forums. I'm not saying have a bash fest, but stating one's opinion and experience with certain machines is not a bad thing. If others don't like it, they don't have to read it. I don't like Fisher products either, but that's my preference. Others would argue with me about how great Fishers are all day long. Fine. Enjoy is all I have to say. I like my Tesoros. It's kind of like the gun forums where one group bashes the Ruger Mini-14 and others are bashing the AR-15. It's all about individuality and personal preferences. There is something for everyone out there.
