Tested a new to me Conquistador

Got out this morning to give a new to me Conquistador a workout. At one tot lot I quickly picked up three quarters, two dimes and a hair clip. Moved to near by park and ended up with two zincs, a quarter and a kennedy half which was on edge, all in just a few minutes as I didn't have a lot of time. The detector worked as it should, but I hadn't hunted for a while without TID until today. I'm happy to report that thumbing the discrimination and listening carefully to where the targets dropped off with this beep and dig machine I was able to determine whether the target was likely a coin with nearly the ease as on a TID machine.

Just how many Tesoro detectors do you think you need?:)

I'm close to the saturation point, I believe. My wife detects with me some of the time so that justifies two lol. One of these days I'll weed out the excess, but it'll be hard. Each detector has one strength or other that I like.

I know what you mean. It's like a golfer reaching for a club. I sometimes put several detectors in the car if I'm searching new ground.

Could not agree with you more tabman! i have three. older but great. my NEW toy is the silver sabre plus. i believe the coil was swapped, it has a 7 in solid concentric. i am learning it. thumbing works. traded an id machine for it. good little id machine, but had to have the old classic, used to be owned by my guru. i dream of finding what he found with it, but those days and sites are long gone. still there are new sites with my name on them! hh carey

The 7" concentric is my favorite park coil.
