I've written a book called Spiritual Poetry and I have about 11 poems in there. I've been writing since 1983. My first poem was called "Children of the Storm" I have it copyrighted and placed in a book of poems. I'm glad I know someone who loves poetry. Sometimes I feel I'm very deep with my poetry and people tend to not understand what I put across in my poems. Well, keep writing Betty I do like them very much.

January 1, 1987! Wish I had time to tell you how it happened but would be too long and I kinda run on, on and on! :) I just Praise God and Thank Jesus for what has been done in my life and by the Holy Spirit has inspired me to write over 3000 poems to glorify my Father in Heaven! Some our very deep and only those saved would truly know what they mean and like them!

I hope and pray all goes well with your redoing the kitchen and also in your finding a really good paying job and one that you will like and be a witness for Jesus! Keep the faith and He will meet the desires of your heart!

many people don't understand or get the meaning of some of my poems as they are also deep because of God's Holy Spirit inspiring me to write them! I wrote some poems for my club in I believe 1980 or 1981, but really didn't start writing for my Lord until I was really saved in 1986 and know Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord! Went to a Watch Night Service Dec 31, 1986 and after getting home in the wee hours of the morning, I awoke about 11:00 Jan 1, 1987, and started praying again, Lord, give me all you want to serve you in 1987 and out poured a poem so fast I could hardly write it down and I wrote every word that was given me, so not like the poems I wrote afterward which were shorter and better written.....now I write such long ones that I couldn't post them on here, so I use the ones from the 80's!

I have written more than 3000 and only have one on a plaque, as I never had any put in a Poetry Book, for it would be just one in thousands, so I chose to pay for a plaque instead. I've never tried to get a book of poetry published as yet, I guess I'm just too nervous and also most want lots of money! But hopefully I will get up the courage and have some published before I die! Anyway, I'm glad you like the poem and understand, for I certainly understand where you are coming from. Only true poets and Christians would enjoy ours!

Don't be afraid to post some of yours, as I'm sure we would like to read them, as I know I would!
