Well this one is a Canon A470 which I picked up on sale for 79.00 - yeah I know, cheap.
I was using a small Olympus pocket camera but it was doing some strange things, and my other wouldn't fit in a pocket but has 12x optical zoom.
The A470 can fit in a shirt pocket but is somewhat bulky and looks behind times, and I figure it will do for now. Internet search I brought up some site - Steve's digicam - and the review was better than average overall, actually a deal according to his conclusions and the pics rated good for indoors and outdoors. I also didn't want to get away from the AA cells, and have something to take along detecting that is easy to use. After I posted the macro pics, I later found the super macro.
So the pics are my first test in macro using auto and 640 x 480 low setting. I think I need to figure the focus detection setting and change it.

Yeah I know I did it again - today I added the Lumix TZ5. A compact with 10x optical. Costco had em 70.00 off. So I snagged one.
Then they also had the ultra compact Lumix FX-37 with 5x optical. Sure was small, so I snagged it too and don't know why.

Then I had to play with another, Lumix DSLR that was 18x optical. Well I figured was enough for today so I put the really big boy down.

So the Canon I snagged the other day will be a good beat-em-up camera.

But I know that DSLR is still sitting there:veryangry:

So 2 more added for today - oh man, is it right to say "I hate Costco"?

Bet they don't hate you ! :bouncy: Well, they might take one back if necessary, and you can always supply grandpups or the tradin' bin with the extras.
