Tesoro's

The Golden Umax has tone ID. The others are single tone although with use one learns to hear subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) differences between trash and coins, deep versus shallow etc.

I had for long time a Tesoro Golden Sabre. It was very light and used triple tone I.D. I liked a lot.
Unless you need a new unit, it might fit your bill. You might find one on E-bay. My personal choice is a B.H. Big Bud Pro Select 220D. it has all the bells and whistles you could want, including digital I.D. and depth.........and simultaneous triple tone. You might check it out. Good luck, Ron.

Hello there I own a golden umax and love it , it has 4 tone id and it works awsome i set mine below iron and listen to what the machine is telling me and i don't use the 9 x 8" coil, use the 8" brown coil and seems to have actually given me 1' to 2" in depth which you need, unfortunately this machine is no depth demon 7" max.

As you get older, virgin ground is much more appealing than digging deep holes. I get tired just thinking about deep holes. :clapping::clapping::clapping:

As they say...Go Deep or Go Home...lol...Deep is where it is at..for the old stuff anyways...

HH,

All depends where your at, i found a 1831 large cent 3inches deep, on land, a 1877 seated lib. in water about 4 inches and 1895 barber quarter in one inch of soil in water, all depends on the density of the soil, go figure
