Tesoros beep. Fishers ping.

I was digging deep soda cans while using my ID Edge thinking they were shallow coins. When I got home I air tested my Cortes, Golden, ID Edge, and CZ7aPro over a soda can and an Indian head penny using zero discrimination. The Tesoros gave a very large beep over the can and a short beep over the penny. The Fishers gave a ping over the can and a ping over the penny and so the pin point button had to be pressed to size the target. The Tesoro beeps will be long or short depending on the size of the target. The Fisher pings sound about the same whether it is a large or small target. Now, I like my Fishers, they are great detectors. But the Tesoro beeps will tell you if the target is big or small without pressing an extra button each time.

I find crushed soda cans buried in the parks around here. Why that was easier than just dropping them in the trash containers is beyond me. Your analysis of the different beeps is interesting. I'll have to play with that some myself.
