metal detector. They are easy to use, get decent depth of detection. I used to own one and found pennys up to seven inches, quarters up to eight inches in depth. It is easy to learn to use, and will even make a good backup detector or for causal metal detecting for a few hours. It also has a lifetime guarantee.
I would suggest that you look at the new Cibola, not much difference in price, but possibly has greater depth of detection. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

I've got a Silver and a Cibola. They are both very easy to operate. While the Cibola is deeper, the Silver is no slacker. I've found more good stuff with it than with the other two detectors I own combined.

I'd recommend the two detectors on either side of the Silver, depending on your needs. Personally, I'd say look closely at the Conquistador or Cibola, which is replacing the former. These both give you threshold based all-metal mode while the Silver doesn't. For several reasons one can never "outgrow" the all-metal mode. If the money difference is an issue or you don't agree about the importance of threshold based all-metal, I'd say just go with the new version Compadre with the 5.75 coil.
