tesoro wolftrax advice

YORKIEGAZ

New member
Hi everybody,am new to the site.I live near York,UK and currently own a Tesoro Silver Sabre Umax which is a brilliant little detector, and have just bought a 2nd hand Tesoro Wolftrax on Ebay.It should arrive in the next few days and I am wondering if there is anybody out there who owns one and can give me any tips and advice .I have bought it mainly because where I live a lot of the fields are contaminated and I find the Tesoros excel in these conditions.

Hi York,
Basically, you just bought a Lobo Super Traq. Its a great machine and you will love it. You can call Treasure World in London to see if he has a manual for you.

Hi Allcav, thanks for the advice,I'm hoping it comes with a manual but if not I will use Treasure world and see if they can help.Where I have been detecting recently was near to a 2nd world war airfield where American airmen were based and I have found a couple of American Cents with an Indian head on and a military button also.In the very near future I will photo them and put them on the forum, thanks again.

you need to read and understand each of the controls on the new-to-you Tesoro as it is different from your Silver Sabre

Dear Monte ,thanks for all your input and info,it was very informative.Iforgot that we say certain things differently over here, yes the sites are trashy and we sometimes call them contaminated so I will be careful how I word things in future. My silver sabre umax is in very good condition and I am very impressed with it and definately won't be parting withit. The wolftrax I am buying has been professionally modified by a well known British company called Pentecnics to sound like a Laser B3 rather than the Squawk that the Lobo gives off.I think I will prefer this type of signal,I imagine it will be similar to the Silver.Yes I will take my time to learn the new Wolftrax and I tend to detect slowly anyway unlike my detecting buddy Steve who tears off like a Coyote! Thanks again for all your help and will keep in touch.Cheers! Gaz
