Tesoro website

After some research I am considering a Sand shark or Tiger shark as my first detector. When I search Yahoo and google for Tesoro's official website, the link goes to an address thats no longer valid and has not been for a week. Is the Tesoro company healthy or is there a problem that may make Tesoro obsolete (parts , support etc.).

Hi Don,
You can click on Tesoro's banner at the top of this forum and it will take you to their website. I had no problem getting to their site. We also have Tesoro products listed on our website. Hope this helps.

Same thing, website fails to come up (using banner above), I have aggressive antivirus maybe thats it, but I have never had any other websites fail to load. Thanks for the help.
Donny

The URL www.tesoro.com is inop, but the URL www.tesoroworld.com appears maybe to be a new official home for tesoro even though yahoo list www.tesoro.com as official URL. Anyway, thanks for the help looks like tesoroworld has official info.

Not sure what the problem is Don... I tried Tesoro's link above (The Banner Ad ) and had no problem getting to their site. You might try the link I have provided below... Good luck!

I don't have my notes handy, but one of those detectors is a Pulse Induction detector more suitable to detecting wet salt sand and the other one's a VLF detector more suitable to detecting freshwater wet sand. And with both being mainly water detectors, they're both quite a bit heavier than Tesoro's land detectors, so unless you're planning on using either one for water detecting only, you might reconsider your choices.
Other than that, Tesoro is a long-established company that builds exceptionally high-quality detectors and isn't going anywhere anytime soon, at least that I know of anyway.

Hi Don,
Recently, we updated the look of our website, www.tesoro.com. It should not have caused you any difficulty, but you never know with computers. The website, www.tesoroworld.com, is not our site. It belongs to our distributor in Tennessee.
Thank you,
Heidi

Could be a Gremlin in your Browser Don. If your still having problems send me an email and I'll reply with a direct link. If your planning on saltwater beach/water hunting, the Pulse Induction Sand Shark is a good choice. PI ignores high mineral/salt and gets serious depth. No discrimination makes it difficult to detect in trashy areas on land, but it can be done. The Tiger Shark works well on land, sand and water. Uses Disc, so it's easier to search in trashy areas. Tesoro makes good equipment and backs every detector with a lifetime warranty. Good choice! Hi, I have never posted here (or anywhere) but was reading about your problem with the Tesoro website. I too had been unable to get to the site ... no matter what I tried. Then I disabled my firewall and tried and went there with no problems. After getting to the site, I enabled my firewall and everything seems fine. I just got a new Sand Shark but have not used it yet; planning to hit the beach this weekend. I'm thinking I'll be lucky if I get a dozen or so pull tabs. LOL Good luck and HH
