i have been hunting in texas since the early 70,s.i mainly relic hunt old houses and lakes, the tesoros cibola, tejon, vaquero they eat nails for breakfast in texas its the best detectors for trash.i personaly have found more godies with tesors than all the rest i tried even the old modles kick but still. the ones i use to use are fisher 1260-1266-5555-1236- whites 6000,garett ground hog, compass.the most imporant thing is learn your machine just like playing a musical instrument you have to know how to make it sing. lots of variables its what your happy with for me i love my tesoros and the customer service is awsome.and if you ask me what is the best thing i have founD ill tell you A FRIEND THAT YOU CAN HUNT WITH AND IS HONEST AND WILL NOT STAB YOU IN THE BACK OR INVITE OTHER PEOPLE TO YOUR SPOTS WITH OUT YOUR PERMISION YOU HUNT TOGATHER AND DO THE RESEARCH THAT IS THE GOLDEN KEY.NOW LETS ALL GO HAVE A GREAT TIME HAPPY HUNTING.:biggrin:

metal detects too. A last year, I found a playground that hadnt been hit too many times, and found about 5 bucks in quarters, dimes and nickels. I made the mistake of telling him about it, and I've never found anything there since, because he regularily hits it.:). But, it works both ways, because he told me about a school field that he found a bunch of asian coins, that had apparently been stolen and dumped. I didnt find any asian coins there, but I did find a couple of nice silver nickels that were buried much deeper, that I wouldnt have found, if he hadnt clued me in about the area. Some times it is a little give and take for friends.
