Tesoro Vaquero:tesoro::usaflag: The Testing Continues:detecting:

I hit the ole site again today to do some testing with the Vaquero. I used the same settings that I used yesterday. I didn't do as well today, but I had a great time. I kept telling myself to stop thinking about and looking for a gold ring and let it come to me. It seems that the harder I try the more they elude me. My very first find today was a sterling pin. It wasn't deep and it gave off a very distinct 'dig me' signal. We need rain, the clay ground at this site is turning to concrete. The next good find was 1910 V Nickel that was only inch or so deep. Strangely, about the only thing that's not worn off is the date. I found a 1930 wheat penny that was nearly on top of the ground. I about wore myself out digging deep play money that was dated 1953 from under a big ole holly bush. Oh yeah, I found a genie near where I found the gold ring yesterday.

So far, so good with Vaquero. It's super sensitive and a deep hitter. Right now I'd say that I like my modded Cibola a tad better. It's hard to explain, it's just different.

Having experience is not only good for using a detector, it also plays a big role in helping you find good spots to detect. At those good locations, you'll start noticing foot traffic and where people seem to lose things. You can detect all you want to, but if nothing good is there to find, you ain't gonna find nothing good there no matter how long and well you detect.:)

location, location, location.
