Tesoro Vaquero :tesoro::usaflag: Gold Ring Twice Found:detecting:

I got an early start back to my hot spot this morning. It rain a lot last night and the digging was pretty messy but easy. Right out of the gate I found a Buffalo Nickel and lots of Wheat Pennies. I was so totally surprised to find a 14K gold ring that I dropped it in the grass when I was searching for my magnifying loupe. I never would have found it again if I didn't have a metal detector. After about 3 hours of detecting I decided call it a day and save some for tomorrow. I ended up finding a nice 14K Gold Ring, a Sterling Charm, a couple of Buffalo Nickels (1935, 19??), a few clad coins, a bunch of Wheat Pennies (1933, 1919, 1918, 1916, 1942, 1955, 19??, 1940), and probably my best find of the day a 1808 Large Cent. I have high hopes of busting a big silver coin from this site.:detecting:

I was using my normal settings that I totally believe in and the 9 x 10 inch coil. Believe me when I say, slow down and swing slow.

I am going to tell you the same thing I told Jim in Tenn on another forum.I believe you could find gold and silver with a compass.HH

Nice job on the hunt. My favorite is that 1808 large cent! So much for the black cat jinx! Shows you how little we know!

Man don't you know there just has to be some ole silver coins laying close by that 1808 coin. The site that I found it at is old, maybe 1920, so something had to be there earlier. That Reale coin that I found last week was out of place for the location as well. You just never know what might pop when you dig.

I just love swinging Tesoro detectors.:detecting: It's about time to pull out the Tejon.:)

One other thing, I found both the large cent and gold ring within 5 feet of where I found the black cat.:)

Well Pooh! I guess that black cat had no adverse effect on the Tabster! In fact, it may have added a bit of power to the lucky Genie if anything! large cent, 2 more buffs, gold and silver, outrageous! He's not slowing down, in fact, accelerating!
Mud
