Tesoro Vaquero Strikes Silver :tesoro::usaflag:

I went back to the old farm house that was built in the 1830's this morning to do some more detecting. I decided to give the Vaquero and the 5.75 inch concentric coil a try today. I found 5 wheat pennies, a 1928 Mercury dime, a 1949 silver quarter, some sort of old pins and a old lock. I had the discrimination set anywhere from foil to pull tab. Most of the coins were 5 to 6 inch deep. I just love swinging a Tesoro. :thumbup:

Nice Finds! I like how you have your detectors and pin pointer protected. Looks like another fun hunt.

Feels good to get silver.. Did you get any of that storm lastnight. We had twisters all around us. No damage here. Maybe it shook the ground and up comes more silver... KEN

The storms went to the north of us. It was beautiful day for detecting.

Nice hunt Tabman. That doesnt appear to be a whole lot of iron in your trash pile. Given the fact you were hunting an old farm and using a hot detector, that is very impressive! You know how to swing that machine!

There they are! You knew it had to be there! Where did Great Grandpap bury that jar of gold sovereigns? Yeah, that danged ol' Tab can sure hunt with the Tees'..:please::beers:

I have a feeling once I get this site figured out, I'm going to pop some really old coins and some interesting relics.

Right now I'm just cruising the site to get a feel for it. I couldn't properly cover this site in 5 to10 years. It's a lot of area to cover and some parts of it are a little trashy.

Once I settle down, I'll completely and thoroughly hunt one small area and then move to the next small area.

It's about time to pull out the stakes and cord to mark where to hunt.
