Tesoro Vaquero Disc. Knob Mod

After seeing a picture of a Knob Mod I decided to make a lighter design. (sorry could'nt refind the poster of the picture to give them credit)

Having 2 lathe's I turned down a piece of aluminum to replace the DISC knob. I also added a o-ring to adjust tension/drag.

I put a small rivit on the outer edge of the knob so you can with your right thumb (swinging arm) rotate the discrimination knob to check where it drops out so you can get a better idea of what it may be. A artical in the Tesoro catalog talks about using this technek to get a better idea of the type of target it could be.

The nice thing is you can (if right handed) swing your detector & use your thumb to check the Disc dropout + your not opening up your Tesoro voiding the warranty. And it leaves your other hand free.

Nice job. Great improvement for thumbing. A friend put a large knob on his Vac. His was a purchased knob that has notches and numbers all around. Large knob is better.
