Tesoro tones, discrimination, & the new Deep Tech Vista X

Well as they say " It ain't over till it's over" but looks like Tesoro's ship has sailed. On this site and some others a small clamor has been going on for some outfit to pick up the flag. Deep Tech (European) has answered with a new beep & dig machine geared more for North American use. I'm not beating the drum yet, but I'm really interested in this break out. So some of you guys who have experience with Deep Tech, the tones, discrimination, reliability etc, what do you think so far? In my 20 years hunting, never ran into a Deep Tech. Unfortunately my favorite manufacturer doesn't seem interested in the slightest for this type of machine. So like many of you guys , I'm not interested in screens, filters and all the space science anymore. It's really early but I'm leaning.

I will have one ASAP Dancer and will share my thoughts, looking forward to the new smaller configuration.
Cheers,
Drew.

Yep Druid ,I know you been a clamoring on this for a while. Let us know.

Should be an interesting eye opener, again another manufacturer from overseas builds a detector geared for the wants, needs of North American detectorists.
I will be looking forward to seeing what the Vista X will do on the eastern portion of Canada while Drew gives it a run for the money on the western side 2600 miles away.
While the USA tester will test from the southern US.

Once you get used to a beep and dig, they are a blast. It would be a big transition for those who have only used screen ID machines...like hinting blind...LOL. Give one at least 8 hours and you may just be hooked, especially when you start finding treasure items you decided not to dig with the screen machine. I admit to being guilty of not digging targets based on target ID numbers and to go back over a sight with a beep and dig and find all sorts of goodies--thank you Tesoro, DeepTech Vista Gold.

Many times I've read where a hunter with many hrs. on his screen machine starts just to pay attention to the tones . Never heard of anyone turning off the sound (with headphones) and just watching the screen. Of course on the Flip side. We see many who can't walk, drive, or eat without the screen.
Just a little humor here.

Most definitely! While the screen on my White's MX 5 is nice, certain tones, nuance sounds, etc. cause me to dig. A 26 ID reading is almost always the large square tab, but a wider, stronger tone with this reading turned out to be a big gold ring. Of course it helps I'm a constant Compadre user!

I have always said just give Me 3-4 Tone I.D. and Modulated audio to judge depth and I am good.
If they would have gave the Vaquero Tone I.D. it might have saved Tesoro in IMHO.

OK- I won't prolong this subject, but I talked about that for nearly 10 years! What made me so upset was it was part of their early technology- they HAD this knowledge.
