Hi folks got my Toltec II the other day, tossed some coins on the ground to see how it worked. Coins hit well, id'd accurately, everything disc'd out where they should of. I took the Toltec to a ball field today, I would get a beep and time I would have the plug out the hole it was full of water. We had about 4 inches of snow that just melted. So I went to a dryer place, I went to a wood chip tot lot, first hit (registered as a coin but a bit jumpy on the meter) turned out to be a Canadian dime, next beep was a gold (not real gold) man's chain necklace (my first ever in 20+ years of detecting)next was a piece of jewelry of some type, the next was a girls ring with half of the part that you put your finger in broke off, that was about all I got in the wood chips. Decided to go into the grass first hit was a quarter then the next beep turned out to be believe it or not a another ring that looks like a womens wedding band, after that I got a bunch of glad. Usually when I go out detecting I normally get two pieces of jewelry of some sort but this was the first time ever that I got 5. I only detected for about 1 hour at the most and this was at a place that I have hunted several times. I am not a display readout type guy by any means but I tell you what that analog meter on my Toltec II is pretty darn accurate. The only fault I have with the detector is that it is heavier than I am used to (almost 4 pounds) but boy when you dig up a ring or piece of jewelry it really takes your mind off the weight. For all you folks wanting Tesoro to come out with a new model or two I am thinking that the older the Tesoro the better. Thanks! Steve.
