Tesoro Tiger Shark

Hello i live on a somewhat small lake. I do a lot of scuba diving and i have found a lot of bottle and even some knife blades and very old keys and i had the idea of getting a Underwater Metal Detector and I have read great things on the Tiger Shark doing great in fresh water and also am wondering if it would be good on land because I live in the country and there are a lot of open areas near my house the i four wheel on also, so what are your thougths on it as a land machine also?

Thanks Chris

Should work good...

A bit heavier than a dedicated land machine, though.

Hey Cbig..

I just got in there 1st...
See what other opinions come along.

There's plenty knowledgeable folks out there that will be along soon...

it will work great on land. the MGB works in both modes, like RMPTR said it is heavy compared. it weighs about 4.5 pounds. but if that wont bother you then it will do you a great job. also has a great coil selection. for only having one detector it is a good choice. good luck

Chris,
You won't be dissappointed with the TigerShark. It's GREAT in fresh water and I found my first gold ring in my own backyard with it after using other detectors around the same area.Probably just lucky but still it will work great on land too! And like Elton said, you can always hip mount it if you think it's too heavy on your arm. I like to use it over my land detectors when it's raining out....don't have to worry about getting it wet!
