I've been watching quite a few of his videos the last few days, and I would have to say that the Laser Trident 2 (Vaquero from what I can tell) has the best "recovery speed" of any of the machines he tested. The XP Gold Maxx Power seems good too. Take a look at how some of the "high end" detectors do in this category. In my opinion, for whatever that's worth, I would prefer a machine that has a high "recovery speed" even if I had to give up a little depth. I may have to put a Vaquero on my shopping list.

The trident 2 is a Vaquero - you are right. The only difference is the trident 2 has the option to switch to preset GB. The clips are a bit of an eye opener in my opinion and show just how easy it is for a nail (or too much disc) to rob you of a find. I like the faster machines as I feel they give me a fighting chance of finding stuff.
