tesoro tejon vs t2

baz

New member
Hi there
Could someone give me info as to how tejon compares to teknetics t2 please, i have a t2 and am happy, but have wondered how good tejon is, would there be much difference in pasture depth wise.
I realize tejon is slightly higher frequency, which may go against it depth wise in pasture. If i was to get a tejon as second machine i was thinking of model with fixed and variable ground balance.
I detect in uk and mostly go on plough fields though at moment most available are pasture unitil aug
Thanks

Hi Baz,from all the tests i've read, the T2 will go slightly deeper then the tejon in pasture land. The two machines are very similar in performance so buying a tejon would almost be like buying another T2.Tesoro provide a large range of coils for their machines so you may find that you could improve performance over the t2 with a certain coil combination in certain conditions but i doubt the cost would be worth it.

Thanks for reply Nauti neil, maybe one day i will get a tejon as a back up , at the moment my t2 has been away for 6 weeks! due to delay in getting a lcd screen replacement, i think a lot of people may find problems time wise, if they send t2s back for repair. Tejons seem to be not too expensive second hand, certainly compared to t2s at moment. cheers baz
