I haven't been doing much detecting lately, so thought I'd give it a swing today. I decided to go back to the virgin site that now has been hunted to death and dig all iffy signals to see what turns up. I found a lot of trash but did manage to find several wheat pennies ( 1936, 1920, 1944, 1926, 1950 ), a Buffalo Nickel and couple of pieces of silver. I could tell that the sterling heart was old before I even looked at the date on the back. I found the Rosie next to a sidewalk. I don't know how I missed it before. I can't remember how many pieces of silver that have come out of this site that is only about the size of two tennis courts. Somewhere around 30 I think. Anyway, I was using my normal settings. The weather was nice and I had a great time.
