Tesoro Shout Out

10shot

New member
I sent my Golden Sabre II in for repairs Last week. Last night a call came in about 8 O'clock and my wife brought me the phone. IT was Rusty from Tesoro explaining that they got the Sabre in on Monday and what they had found wrong and fixed. We went on to talk about how he had got into Metal Detectors back in the 70's. He also told me how he got into gold detecting and heard about how people were finding gold in Australia. So He went over to see if it were true. He then came back to the States got his visa packed up his family and moved. They lived their for 10 years making a living off of gold. He told me about a nugget that was found by a friend of his about 3 miles from the place he was detecting. It was a 800 and some ounce nugget. He was one of the first 6 people too lay eyes on it. The man that found it was not sure how to go about selling it so he helped him. Rusty called a friend in the states and told him about it and I think that man called someone he new at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas and told them about it. They jumped on a jet and Flew over. Rusty said they offered the man 1 million on the spot and he took it. It now resides in the lobby of the Casino. Rusty told me how he retired from the Navy and his last few years as a Navy Seal. We talked about other things as well. I could have talked to Him all night. This is why I will continue to buy Tesoro products. Their Warranty and Customer service is second to NONE.
So I just want to say Thanks Rusty and Thanks Tesoro.

Jeff

I don't think there is anyone on this forum that has sent in their Tesoro for repair and hasn't spent a fair amount of time talking to Rusty.
Very nice and personable fellow. An asset to Tesoro's team.

The man is also incredably patient. He demonstrated this while dealing with me as a compete rookie trying to figure out why my detector didnt work (it worked fine, I was the one not working correctly).

thumbs up to Rusty.

That's why From now on I'll be buying tesoro Md's. I strayed away with a minelab and it's a great machine. But the warranty is allll gone. I think it's time for another excuse to buy a new tesoro.

10 shot thanks for sharing, that amazing tru story, costomer sevice is a big deal some treat you like you are making them madd, I never go back to those guys, I was intrested in a detector and was asking the shop owner about it and he was rude to me and acting like he wished i would go away , well i did and i have never bought a detector from that outlet ever . tesoro does good in that way . thats for shure.

Rusty Henry goes way beyond what is expected of him to make sure every customer is 100% satisfied.

All the folks at Tesoro do their very best to keep every customer happy. They're second to none.
