Tesoro Sand Shark on a relic hunt:thumbup:

Got off work this morning and went straight to the park to do a little relic hunting with the SS. My normal relic detector is the ML G t . I have found many items with the GT but i always wanted to use a SS in my hunt area to see what it could pull up.The SS hit many small pieces of iron. There was one target that was a little to deep to retrieve so i stopped digging at around 11 inches but most targets were found around 6 to 8 inches.I was really looking for the mid level faint signals. I was surprise that I didn't find any lead bullets at all but I'll be back out their tomorrow morning to see if i can pull one up . The date on the Indian head one cent is 1863 . I wish the fatty was in better shape but after digging all of the iron targets i was happy to find one coin particularly with that war time date. The soil was some what moist from past days of rain and the temperature was just right and much cooler then past days.I can see missing a IH in that condition with my Gt but i'm not expecting to pull up a great deal of silver or lead tomorrow but that's what make this hobby so much fun, We just never know. Thanks for Looking and HH.

Nice digging Tom, I bet the SS is a good relic machine, congrats!!!!

Hank68 you would win that bet. If your in a hunt location where you would want to dig all targets and dig deep it would be a hard detector to beat.

I never thought about the SS being a relic killer but it looks like it is, hank

CW, better or just as good as a muiliple frequency detector costing twice or three times as much.I use many different brands and enjoy them all. Each one has it place and nitch depending on the location and ground condition and many othere variables. The SS is a deep detector no matter where you run it at. I was at the beach this past week (wilmington) and pulled up these eyeglasses at a 1 1/2 to 2 feet down in the sand. The Sand Shark can run with the best of them and in more than one arena. Tom
