Tesoro Sand Shark in fresh water.

I know that in salt water some detectors will run smoother then others, how stable does the Tesoro "Sand Shark" run in fresh water and what type of detecting depth would we see this PI detector achieve compared to the Tesoro "Tiger Shark" in fresh water? I like the idea of a lifetime warranty and compared to all of the other detectors its the best warranty by far. Also does it pick up small gold very well?
Cheers!

But the PI in freshwater, you have almost now discrimination and in there is a lot of trash in fresh water lakes. You will do equally good on gold, both water machines hit hard on small gold and chains.

Thanks for the info Skully....I'm thinking PI for extra depth over the VLF.....if I'm not going to get much more depth then the VLF (Tiger Shark) then I will probably go with the Tiger although I do like the sound of the Sand shark when it comes to heavy salt conditions.
Cheers!
