old-bones

New member
Ordered my second detector today did alot of reading and youtubing to make my desision and the one that came out on top was the Sand Shark with the 10.5 in" coil.I wanted one to use at the beach and be stable.I also will be hunting fresh water swimming spots and don't mind the extra scooping I will have to do.Happy hunting guy's and gal's

Good luck to you.

Its tougher to pinpoint with a larger coil, but don't get frustrated. Just practice and it will come together.

You will not be disappointed.

I have had both and prefer the 10.5" in salt and fresh.

I just ordered a new Sand Shark, from Ron Shore, at Windy City Detectors. I choose the 8" coil. I seem to do better with the smaller coils. I plan a road trip on my motorcycle, in April. I hope to do some detecting along old route 66, and end up, doing some beach detecting in California.I hope to have room for two detectors, a VLF, and the Sand Shark PI.
