Tesoro Pricing?

Habanero

Member
I'm interested in eventually purchasing a Tiger Shark and was wondering about Tesoro and dealer pricing. I don't want anyone to post here a price they paid or what I can get one for on the public forum. The question is, do you have to pay the "list price" that you see everywhere or can dealers sell them for less just like most any other brand of unit when trying to make you a deal? Thanks.

The manufacturer gives retail price and dealers also have a price they are not supposed to go under for a "NEW" detector.

Yes, and I almost didnt buy a Tesoro because of that. The rep at the online site that i bought one said he could not give any package deals , with a pinpointer , headphones or anything included because they had to go by the price set by tesoro.

I see, so let's pretend I am buying the Tesoro Tejon and everywhere you look its priced at $594.15. If I call up one of the sponsors here then that is what they have to sell it for? Assuming they don't have a demo model of course.

Smart buyers realize true value when they see it.

Gimmicks only work on the not so smart buyers and there are plenty of them.

That's why one certain metal detector dealer does so well.

I know just the one you are referring to Tab. Thanks for the feedback everyone but I got my question answered in a PM very much to the point exactly how it was, thanks.

Hats off to Tesoro for having a "set price" for all dealers. I don't understand anyone pis*sing & moaning about the price they have on their detectors, their detectors are worth more than their set prices no matter how you do the math but there are always people out there looking to buy something for $50.00 that is worth $100.00 that is sold for $75.00

Since I ALREADY HAVE my Compadre, I'll admit that's a VERY reasonable price-$160 or thereabouts at most dealers. Best value out there.
