Tesoro Outlaw - Yeah There Was Some Silver Still Hiding In All That Trash

I headed back to curb line this morning with the Outlaw/5.75 inch concentric coil combination. I found 50 coins including a 1963 Rosie. Not a single wheat penny was to be had. After finding 14 wheat pennies on that curb line yesterday, you'd think I'd find at least one today. Go figure. You can see my settings in the picture below.

After thoroughly searching the curb line, I swapped out the 5.75 inch coil for the 8 inch doughnut coil and searched the curb line again and found maybe a couple of coins. None of them were very deep. Then I pulled out the Vaquero with the 5.75 inch concentric coil and went over the curb line again. The Vaquero wouldn't discriminate out most of the screw caps. I got tired of digging screw caps, so I put it back in the car and got out the Deleon with the 5.75 inch coil attached. I was hoping to find some nickels by using the notch feature. I didn't find any nickels, but I did manage to find a few coins.

All in all the Outlaw with the 5.75 inch coil managed to do a great job cleaning the curb line of coins. What was hiding those coins was trash, not depth.

I have several trashy sites that I have detected before that I want to go back over with the Outlaw with 5.75 inch coil attached. This is one sweet combination.

I tried hunting the sidewalk strip with the Vaq awhile back. Using the stock coil ,it was very difficult. Did get lucky and find 1 Ike silver dime. Ill try again when I get the smaller coil.

Tab that silver looks so nice sitting in the dirt pile and like you said (What was hiding those coins was trash, not depth.) so its the ability to navigate the trash that means somthing not if you can hit a dime at 10" deep it took me along time to learn that , just because a machine is not super deep does not make it obsolete but now I have two a deep machine the blisstool and a medium depth machine the Oulaw, just have to use them whear their strength is
