Yeah, there's gold to be found at those low discrimination settings. You can run the Outlaw's discrimination at its lowest setting and it still discriminates out nails. The 9:00 position looks to be about as high as you need to go when searching for gold jewelry. Heck, it wouldn't hurt to run the Outlaw at its minimum discrimination setting if you're in likely place to find gold jewelry.
