CAN ANYONE ONE TELL ME WHATS THE BEST COIL FOR THIS UNIT BESIDES THE STOCK 7" COIL?I WAS TOLD THERE WERE SEVERAL COILS FOR IT?THANKS.

:pulltab:BILL

Wish I could help you out brother, I'd assume all the umax coils would work but don't know which one would be optimum.

Hey Bill
All of the uMax 5 pin coils will fit your SS but I would give the 7 inch coil a try first,it's my favorite iron trash coil. After using the 1266 for such a long time you will be wondering whether there is some thing wrong with the SS, because it operates so quite, It has the ED 90 discrmination circuit and when set a min. disc it is knocking out nails and small foil. The british hunters really like thr SS for the Roman spoil heaps as they can be rather nasty with iron...................Just go to nastiest iron infested old relic type sight or building tear down where there is a possibility of find neat coins and or relics the little 7 inch should do you fine.....................Hombre
