Hello i am still looking for a underwater metal detector and have narrowed it down to two. I am wondering which unit is better the Beach Hunter I.D or the Tiger shark?

iv owned both and for fresh water the Tiger Shark was WAY better than the BHID ! better on small gold and chains,lifetime warranty.hard to beat!.neather are very good in salt water.
 
It also works great in fresh water!! I have found chains too!! I now have a super 12 coil on mine..its very deep and still gets small items!!
 
Can't speak to the Tiger Shark, but I have a Tesoro Sand Shark (pulse) and do very well with it. Pinpoints very well, which is important in rough surf. With a pulse you'll dig a little more trash, but you won't miss the thin/small gold.
 
Does anyone think there will be any sale on them in the summer? i already know that the BHID is $679 and the Tiger Shark is $599. do you think there will be a sale or free accessories? I am just wondering because i live in WI and there wouldn't be much to do if i were to buy one now and am just wondering if there are going to be sales in the summer time becuase thats the time i am going to buy one i think.

I can't speak for either one, but since you can't use it now why not just wait until the weather warms up a bit. By then you may see some sales advertised as well.
