Cant help on the Silver Sabre, but I had the Silver Sabre II. I'm pretty sure it also operated on 12 KHz, but it had an 8" round conc. coil. I sold it several years ago and am still giving myself a clip over the ears for being so stupid. All the best, Sapper.

I saw that little gem of a detector on another site but I was too late. There is quite a write up on the Silver Sabre on Gary's Detecting.co.uk, if ya decide to sell her let me know..........Hombre

One of my favorites and Id snap one up if I ever found another. I had a couple of them and like you sold them off. The SS II and the Bandido II are two of my favorite older Tesoros.

Nothing sweeter than the sound of a Tesoro 12 kHz detector beeping on a goodie. Great machines, hit real hard on the smallest jewelry. I have found that most Tesoro's that I have had got about the same depth, but I have to admit I have never had aTejon (yet). I have a Cibola comming in the mail next week and will see if it is any deeper than the older uMax's,Bandido's,Cutlass, etc. Stay tuned!!! Steve.

Steve Ive read here a couple of times people say they arent any deeper but its gotta be site dependent as both my Vaquero and Tejon are deeper than any of the older tesoros Ive owned.
That said Id still love to find a mint SSII or Bandido II:beers:

The 7" concentric is one of my most used coils on the umax machines I have. Pretty good depth, good separation, excellent pi pointing and nice to swing.
