tesoro / lost gold

what current or older model tesoro would be best for finding a lost gold ring? my mom knows it was lost in the yard but it was lost approx 20 years ago. any help would be appreciated

The compadre would do the trick and they are inexpensive.
Keep the disc. turned down and dig everything.

Tico is right on. If all that I have read on this forum and assuming that this is a one time recovery the Compadre is the model that you want as it is good for finding gold and inexpensive. The other thing that you could do is find a local detecting club and they might be able to help in the recovery if you do not want to buy a detector but this just might be the excuse you need to get into the hobby and purchase a detector. You can't go wrong with Tesoro and if you by used and don't over pay you will have no trouble selling it once you have made your recovery.

Where do you live ? Maybe someone here on the forum could help and save you the cost of a detector.

Yep! If there's a lot of iron around (paper clips, small nails, wire) you can set it to just blip on the nail and it will FOR SURE beat most other detectors for finding gold and you won't be bothered by all those beeps.
