Is the Lobo (not Super traq) difficult in grondbalancing?
What shall I do? I can buy a Lobo (not st) for a good price, or shall i pay some more money and buy a Lobo super traq?
The normal Lobo is in good condition..

whenever possible I always buy new so I get a warranty-new equals life time in this case.saving a few dollars now could add up later if a high dollar repair becomes necessary in the future.I have a LST and its a great machine-when it says to dig-ya better dig and at times have a good digger as mine as hit on some deep targets.

The Lobo SuperTRAQ takes the hassle out of ground balancing, to be sure, however, the auto-tracking circuitry only functions in the All Metal mode. The Disc. mode's GB is internally preset. The original Lobo requires manual Ground Balance, but it isn't difficult, it lets the operator be in control, AND it is tied in with BOTH operating modes! In my book, the Lobo winds in this consideration.

The weight and balance virtually the same, depending upon which coil you have mounted and in this consideration, the Lobo Super TRAQ appears to be the winner due to the greater number of search coils available for it. In the long run, however, it really depends on what you'll use the Lobo/Lobo ST for, and if it will be your only detector. If I had a Lobo (original) with the stock coil and the little elliptical (especially concentric) then I wouldn't be very concerned about it.

I've had and used them both and, overall, I prefer the original Lobo. At times a Lobo or LST was a main-use unit and other times a 2nd pick, but I always had more than one detector to better handle a variety of hunting tasks.

Monte, thanks for your complete answer!
I think you are quite an expert.
I wish the old Lobo was on you tube, so i can see how the groundbalancings works.
It is not that difficult like a Tejon? The tejon also requires manual grond balancing, I heard that a lot of people hate that. Do you have that same problem with the Lobo, or not?

Thanks
