Anybody ever run this unit on the beaches? Hey I figure its a gold detector what better detector to take to the beaches then a gold unit.?

hiya,,, i believe as the lobo runs around 17 kz,, its a bit too high to use succesfully on a salt wet beach,,its probably o,k, like a lot of other top range machines on the dry sand,,but wet sand appears to the machine just above the iron settings,,so the machine thinks your standin on a huge target, and sounds off accordingly,,its really designed for really tough terrain,,highly mineralised ground and black sand,,magnetised areas,,where you would find gold bearing rocks and alluvian deposits,,the high freq. finds gold in ground conditions where other machines would be as much use as a chocolate fire guard ,,,, and it will find the very small grains of gold also,,thats what its designed for,and its one of the best in the world at that, also a great coin shooter too,,,but not a machine for the salt ,,,,for beaches,,,use a tesoro sand or tiger shark,, something like that ,,they are the best for that sort of work, and the tesoros are water resistant,,,best of luck,,,:ukflag:
