Tesoro Lobo ST air test results

One of the forum members ask me to air test my Lobo ST to see how it compares to his. I figured that I would post my results on the forum for others that may be interested.

Settings were (Normal Soi) l (Disc mode) (Threshold set at noon position) (Sensitivity at 10) (Disc. at 1.5)

My numbers,
Nickel = 9.5"
Dime = 7.5"
Quarter = 8"

Thanks for the test results SkiWhiz...which coil were you using for the air test? After seeing Keith's video on youtube I may have to carefully tinker with my LST this summer and see what I can come up with:) Good hunting!

I was using the stock 10" elliptical coil, it is the only one I have so far.

I tweaked a little for the Lobo ST...and got it to hitting my test target's.. Come ... You need Adobe ...

I have heard a lot about the Lobo's ability to find coins.

On Youtube, one treasure hunter called "Treasure Barrel" ran a pretty sophisticated test on various gold machines to see how they hit on very small (micro) jewelry and I was surprised to lern that in that particular test, the Lobo didn't fare so well. It picked uo the micro target at barely an inch.

Perhaps it hits stronger on larger gold? Has someone tried this in the field?
