Tesoro In The Technology Age?

Can Tesoro's Beep and Dig technology survive in the future? To me Tesoro hasn't been very aggressive in their advertisement, their website is way out dated and is due for a major overhaul. Why don't they do a comparison for example detectors like the compadre against garrets ace 250 and the white's coin master without bashing. The Vaquero against the Etrac, what the Vaquero can do at $420.00 versus Etrac at $1500.00. Their warranty and product durability versus other manufactures.

Because if you've used them and tried the others you already know why people stick to and love their Tesoros.

seriously--> is this an advertising strategy? Lately I've seen so many of these similar questions

Yes, Tesoro can survive in the future.

I am currently using a Tejon, Cibola and a Fisher F75LTD. I can tell you, in my opinion, that the Tesoro metal detectors can hold thier own with the Fisher F75.

We hunt old house sites, I mean really old. These sites are littered with iron, some of which are desireable artifacts. I don't want to spend 1/2 my time trying to decide if I want to dig this target or not. If it sounds good, I am going to dig it.

I have owned the Fisher F75LTD for well over a year, and am still trying to prove that it was worth what I gave for it. I simply don't like that. In other words, I do not have a lot of confidence in it.

The Tesoro Tejon and Cibola both have a signal boost feature, which I use all the time, plus I don't have to listen to the constant chatter of rejected targets.

This is my thoughts, since I have used the Tesoro metal detectors since 1982.

I have the whites V-3 and other brand detectors-recently I have used the tesoro Vaqureo-umax bandito-umax diablo and I love the the design and performance of the Tesoro machines, once learned they can hold their own against other brand vlf's and like with any machine one can exploit there operation for specific targets.
Take the Diablo for instance I have never heard a machine that would scream like a banshee on a nickle-yes other machines will detect a nickle to but the Diablo will definitely let you know.
The Vaqureo can hammer dimes-quarters like very few vlf's can, and at a consistant depth with a great signal , gold (rings-earrings-small stuff) are no problem.
The diablo can pick up very small gold in high min dirt-it is so good I don't even use my ML 5000 for surface and 3inch gold
Most tesoro coils can be used on most models

Tesoro will always be my first choice. I don't see any real new technology from the other manufacturers, just extra bells, whistles, and larger coils. seems to me the more bells and whistles they add, the slower the recovery speed, the less accurate the discrimination at depth. Ive owned 2 fishers and a minelab, they were nice machines, but didn't do anything that my Cibola and Tejon cant do better! Tesoro detectors are easy to use, reliable, fast recovering, just plain fun to detect with, and they work well! And they have the best warranty in the business. :tesoro: Cant say that about some of those "Technologically superior brands"

Because that's simply not their style. Just like their detectors are high class, so are their standards. Even on the Tesoro forum, brand bashing or comparison is not allowed. And to their credit, they don't have to.

Well, I have only had my Tejon for about a week, but i'm already getting a feel for it. I'd compare the differences to "drive by wire" vs Electronic Throttle Control in cars or streetbikes. They have different feels, and both have their place. Some detector's discriminators do the thinking for you and the result is a more "processed" tone. The Tejon seems to be more raw gritty power, not as "smooth" a ride but sometimes sharper. Just my observations, but to me they both have their place and I for one hope they stay true to their roots and not try to change for the sake of change...

I'm a Tesoro fan who would like to know how they decide ' what to incorporate when designing a new model ?
Just wonder how they figure out what wanted ?

Bobby :)
