Tesoro Golden

I went out for few hours this morning to see if I could find some silver coins at a old apartment complex. I started out with the Deleon using a 5.75 inch concentric coil searching between the the curb and sidewalk. I found plenty of clad coins and one wheat penny, but no silver. After a couple of hours I went back to my car to get me a bite to eat and swapped detectors. I pulled out the Golden

Nice ring there tabman.

I see there are a couple of the old style beaver tail pull tabs in the diggings. I like finding those. Tends to mean that who ever may have detected the area before probably wasn't digging gold bands.
Cheers,

Yep when I start digging them old bever tails I turn the disc down a little above Iron in the parks

Great find! That 3rd photo tells a great story, and shows what it is that separates those who find gold and those who don't. Congrats on the gold!

Tab, very nice find, after that rug pull. and this is the thing Tesoro machines really bark at gold, Glad you found one that was not plated. also sounds like a great spot to hunt , I can just imagine how many people use the grass , for all kinds of activities

Nice looking ring,Now let me get this staight the other day you went out with your silver umax and found silver to day you went out with your golden umax and found gold I hope you do go out with a tejon and come back with a badger :yikes:

Nice ring........Congrats !!

All that digging really pays off.

Nice gold tabman,

....I like the picture of the ring in the plug, and the shot of the dug up assortment of finds is telling part the story. Great job:thumbup:

Way to go Tab! You either get into some great spots, are lucky or there is really a lot of jewelry to be found out there for the person willing to dig some aluminum trash to find it. So....here is loaded question for ya. Which of them thar' Tesoros is your favorite? That Golden sure sniffs out some goodies it seems but the others are likely no slouches either.

I find what I do by digging my butt off. I've gotten where I don't feel comfortable turning up the discrimination, because I fear that I'm going to miss something. Good targets next to bad targets equals bad VDI numbers and jumpy iffy signals. Most of the easy stuff like silver coins have been picked over at public places. There's not much easy stuff left to find at those places. So ask yourself, why to you want to waste your time looking at screen all the time. Give me a lightweight detector with a fast response, good separation and good discrimination. It's hard to beat a Tesoro in that department. I don't have a favorite Tesoro. I know some work better than others at different locations. If I'm in heavy pull tab/screw cap territory, out comes the Golden
